The ski season started on November 24, and by December 1, Mont SUTTON was able to offer 100 % of its terrain to skiers. Despite the recent changes in weather, the amount of snow on the mountain is quite surprising. As we mark the start of 2019, Mont SUTTON has already received over 2 metres of snow since its opening. Canadian Friendship Week at Holiday Valley

Holiday Valley's annual Canadian Friendship Week is scheduled for January 2nd to 8th, 2019. Canadian cash is accepted at par for the purchase of lift tickets, rental equipment and tickets at the Holiday Valley Tubing Company. Canadian Friendship week commemorates the long-standing relationship between Holiday Valley and its neighbours to the north. Canadians have been an integral part of the growth of Holiday Valley, ever since it opened in 1957. In the 1950s Ellicottville skiers would make an annual trek to Mont Saint-Sauveur in the Laurentians. They loved the people, the architecture, the mountains and they especially loved Molson beer! In 1956 when the Ellicottville Ski Club decided to open a public ski area, Holiday Valley, they borrowed many ideas from Mont Saint-Sauveur, including the Bavarian look, the layout of the slopes . . . and Molson beer. Holiday Valley Resort opened on January 7th, 1958, and their good friends from the North have been skiing there ever since. About Holid...
